Zucchini SVG is an annual plant that belongs to the flower department, dicotyledon class, pumpkin order, pumpkin family, pumpkin genus, ordinary pumpkin species. It is a subspecies of a common pumpkin.
The zucchini comes from Mexico. This vegetable was brought to Europe after the discovery of the New World and is now widely cultivated all over the world. Originally it was used exclusively for decorative purposes, and only three centuries later it was eaten. It is known that the zucchini was brought to Russia from Greece and Turkey, from where the Russian name of this vegetable came. The word “zucchini” comes from the Turkish kabak – pumpkin. In some southern regions of Russia and Ukraine, zucchini are called zucchini.
Zucchini SVG – description. How does a zucchini look like?
In most cases, the plant looks like a bush, but there are also wafer-like varieties with pumpkin-like stems. The stem of a zucchini is thick, faceted, upright and less likely to lie down.
Root system of zucchini is powerful, very well developed.
It is represented by pronounced rod and very branched lateral roots.
Zucchini SVG leaves are large, green in color, with five-bladed or slightly separated plates, with barbed and hard pubescence, sometimes covered with white spots.
Petioles are long, faceted. Some varieties have medium to small leaves.
Zucchini SVG flowers are large, one-house, bell-shaped and bright yellow or bright orange. They can be male or female.
They can be identified by the length of the pedicel: male flowers have long stalks and female flowers have short stalks.
The surface of the fruit can be smooth, hilly or ribbed.
Young courgettes have a thin and soft bark, and mature bark species have thick and wooden bark. With age, it develops a mechanical tissue called sclerrenchyma.
Depending on the variety or hybrid of zucchini can be white, yellow, orange, cream, dark or light green, or two-color.
Strips or stains may be present on the bark.
The flesh of young courgettes is tender and juicy, with varying degrees of density. It is denser in adult fruits and stiffer in overripe fruits than in the outer bark. The color of flesh is white, yellowish, creamy. The taste of zucchini is not very pronounced, may be more or less sweet, depending on the variety.
Inside the fetus there are seeds that look like seeds. Zucchini seeds are flat, elongated, whitish or creamy, small or medium sized. 1000 seeds weighing 130-150 g.
Zucchini begins to bear fruit in 35-60 days after sowing seeds. In food use 7-10 day ovaries – the fruit of the so-called technical ripeness. The length of such fruits varies from 15 to 30 cm, and the diameter reaches 4-10 cm.
In 100-120 days after sowing comes full, or biological, ripeness of the zucchini. Such fruits become unpalatable, lose their useful properties and are suitable only for livestock feed.
