Saturday SVG is the day of the week between Friday and Sunday.
Place Saturday SVG in the calendar
Traditionally inherited from Judaism, Saturday SVG is the last day of the week. This agreement remains the standard in the U.S. and Israel, but in today’s Europe many people see Saturday as the sixth (penultimate) day of the week, and Sunday as the last day of the week. Modern European understanding is enshrined in ISO 8601. According to the non-church tradition, Saturday was also called the sixth day of the Slavs.
Countries with strong Christian traditions continue to view Saturday as the seventh day of the week. This correlates with the late ancient tradition, in which days of the week were linked to seven classical planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn), and the first day of the week was dedicated to the Sun as the most important luminary, the rest of the days were dedicated to the luminaries in descending order of magnitude in the view of the ancients.
English-speaking Quakers traditionally call Saturday the “Seventh Day”, alien to the pagan name Saturday.
In Nepal, Saturday is the last day of the week and the only official weekly day off.
In most Arab countries where Islam is practiced, Saturday, Sabt, is considered the first day of the week.
