Nature is the material world of the universe, essentially the main object of study of natural sciences.
In everyday life the word “nature” is often used in the meaning of the Natural SVG habitat (everything that is not created by man).
The Earth is the only known planet at the moment where there is life. Its Natural SVG features are the subject of many scientific studies. It is the third largest planet in the world in terms of diameter, mass and density among the planets of the Earth’s group. The basic climatic features of the Earth consist in presence of two big polar regions, two rather narrow temperate zones and one wide equatorial-tropic region. About 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered by the ocean. The rest is made up of continents and islands, with most of the land inhabited by humans in the northern hemisphere.
The Earth has evolved through geological and biological processes that have left traces of the original conditions. The surface of the planet is divided into several continuously moving lithospheric plates which lead to periodic merging and separation of continents. The inner part of the Earth consists of a thick layer of molten mantle and an iron core that generates a magnetic field.
The composition of the current atmosphere has been significantly altered in comparison with the original one by means of various life forms, which create an ecological equilibrium that stabilizes the conditions on the surface. Despite significant differences in climate depending on latitude and other geographical factors, the average global climate is quite stable during the interglacial periods, and the change of 1-2 degrees of average global temperature has historically had a serious impact on the ecological balance and geography of the Earth.
