Hawaii is the largest but most sparsely populated island in the archipelago. The main cities visited by tourists are Hilo and Kailua-Kona, the center of the west coast. The latter is a small resort town with a lot of shops and entertainment. The coast attracts divers and sports fishermen.
Hotels are densely “inhabited” by the western coast of the island. Local Hawaiian beaches are good: with fine sand and gentle descent into the water. They are maintained in excellent condition. In addition to the landscaped areas of the coast, the island has a series of picturesque wild beaches, such as those loved by connoisseurs of seclusion Makalaven or Hapuna Beach.
There are also several special “chips” on the island: beaches with black volcanic sand, the most famous of which are Kehena Beach and Punaluu Beach, and quite amazing green sandy beaches on its southern tip.

The island’s volcanoes are unique not only for their size and frequency of eruptions, but also for their accessibility.
Also on the island you can climb Mount Mauna Kea, on top of which there is an observatory. It will also be interesting to visit coffee and vanilla plantations. Finally, it is worth paying attention to the Akaka waterfall complex, which is up to 130 m high.
