Boredom is a type of negatively colored emotion or mood; passive mental state characterized by a decrease in activity, lack of interest in any activity, the world and other people. Boredom, unlike apathy, is accompanied by irritability and anxiety.
Bored SVG Reasons
A state of boredom can be caused by external causes (monotonous work, waiting, lack of communication, sensory deprivation), as well as internal devastation and inability to experience emotional experiences that cause joy, lack of purpose and meaning in life.
Bored SVG Classification
Existential psychology distinguishes between existential boredom and neurotic boredom. The psychoanalytic approach looks at boredom through the prism of conflict and control issues, so Fenichell believed that boredom appears “when we cannot do what we want to do, or should do what we do not want to do.
Bored SVG Physiology
Boredom does not directly depend on changes in the physiological state. When a person is bored, the cerebral cortex is dominated by inhibition processes, but at the same time there is a small area of excitement associated with performing monotonous work or waiting for its completion. People who are bored are usually distracted, impatient and dissatisfied, and want to avoid conditions that make it impossible to act.
Clinical trials have shown that in a state of artificially induced boredom, the subjects’ blood levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, increased level of which indicates excessive activity of the hypothalamic-pituitaryadrenal axis (HPA). Chronically high cortisol levels are known to be associated with a number of stress-related diseases such as stroke, heart disease and diabetes.
