Oklahoma SVG is located on the lands of the Great Plains, which once belonged to the Indian tribes. The very name of the state in Chocteau means “red people”. Oklahoma received this name at the end of the 19th century on the initiative of Allen Wright, the head of the Chocteau tribe, a representative in negotiations on the status of the Indian territories. Oklahoma SVG has the official nickname of “Hurry State” or “Land Invader State” because of the tradition of organizing competitive races for the right to stumble upon the most successful plot of land in the distribution of territories back in the middle of the 19th century.
During a journey through Oklahoma SVG, the view of the car from the window is constantly changing: gorges are replaced by semi-deserts, and those, in turn, by prairie blossoming.
Today Oklahoma is the twentieth largest state with a developed aviation and fuel industry. Despite the unpopularity in the media and among the general public, Oklahoma remains an attractive investment center, and in the largest cities of the region have offices of several multinational companies.
The state capital is Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma’s largest cities are Tulsa, Normon and Loton.
